Best File Types for Custom Flag Printing
For the best result, we recommend vector artwork.
Preferred file types include:
- AI
- EPS
- SVG
- Print-ready PDF
These file types allow logos and graphics to be enlarged without losing quality.
Can I Send JPG or PNG Files?
Yes, high-resolution JPG or PNG files may be accepted, depending on the final flag size and artwork quality.
However, small website images, screenshots or low-resolution files may not print clearly at large size.
If you are unsure, send us the file and our team can check it.
Why Vector Files Are Best
Vector files are ideal for logos, text and brand graphics because they stay sharp when scaled up.
This is important for large-format printing, including:

A logo that looks clear on your screen may not be suitable for a large printed flag unless the file quality is high enough.
What Is a Print-Ready PDF?

If your design was created in Canva, Illustrator, InDesign or another design tool, exporting a high-quality print PDF is often a good option.
Can I Send Canva Artwork?
Yes. Canva can be used to create simple flag designs. Please export your design as a high-quality print PDF where possible.
If your design includes a logo, please also send the original logo file if you have it.
What Artwork Problems Should I Avoid?
Common artwork issues include:
- Low-resolution logo
- Screenshot used as final artwork

What Is Bleed and Safe Area?
Bleed is extra artwork that extends beyond the final cut or sewing area. It helps avoid unwanted white edges.
Safe area is the area where important content such as logos and text should stay. Anything too close to the edge may be trimmed, sewn or hidden depending on the product.
This is especially important for teardrop flags and wind blades because they have curved shapes and pole areas.
What About Colour Matching?
If brand colour is important, please provide PMS colours or brand guidelines.
Printed colours may vary slightly from screen colours because screens, fabric, ink and lighting are different. Providing colour references helps us get closer to your intended result.
